Policy & Advocacy
The Maine Doula Coalition (MDC) actively works to advance equitable access to doula care through policy and systems change, working to expand coverage and remove barriers statewide.

MDC is engaged in ongoing advocacy to expand access to doula care statewide, including support for legislation that would improve insurance coverage and resources for families and birth workers. Our work is part of a broader effort to ensure that all families in Maine can benefit from skilled, culturally responsive, and affordable perinatal support.
